I do not wish to live in a world where our food is controlled by
Big Business. The goal of Big Business, Pharmaceutical and Chemical
giants is profit. Profit is NOT in the best interest of our health.

     A great poison, rbGH, has been unleashed into the U.S. dairy supply
by Monsanto Corporation through great negligence of irresponsible
government. It affects each and every one of us. In fact, many poisons
have been unleashed by this Chemical Giant in the past and it continues
to do so with an unrelenting force.

     How can this happen?

The allowance of this is made possible in part by our ever-failing
government health administrations which we can no longer count on to
protect our health.

In Canada, the Canadian Food Safety and Inspection Act was recently
established. What this did was to transfer the subject of Canadian food
safety into the hands of the Ministry of Agriculture. Why is this
detrimental to the future health of the Canadian public?? Because the
role of the Ministry of Agriculture is to support Big Business
(including chemical companies such as Monsanto). Big Business, in its
quest for profits, views the issue of public safety as "red tape". As a
result, the agency responsible for overseeing the issue of food safety
has a direct conflict of interest with the safety of the Canadian
people. We must pull the wool off from over our eyes. In today's
governments this type of scenario is commonplace.

The allowance of rbGH was made possible by error, greed, payoffs and
countless lies. The FDA did not speak for YOU!

     In the words of Michele Brill-Edwards, the senior physician
responsible for regulating prescription drugs in Canada, we are quickly
becoming "road kill on the highway to corporate profit."

     rbGH MUST be removed from the marketplace. Your health depends on
it. The health of your children and theirs depends on it. The FDA
allowed its use and the FDA must now disallow its use.

It is time to act. To make our voices heard.

A Fast in this context is the stoppage of consumption of food. A refusal
to eat food that will cause our body harm - a message that we will no
longer continue to poison our bodies with food containing disease-
causing hormones allowed by our supposed health protection agencies.

I Fast to urge the FDA to ban this deadly hormone, rbGH.

I Fast to urge the Canadian and Europian governments to forever maintain
their ban on this same deadly hormone.

I Fast in attempt to rid my body of the ill effects of years of dairy
consumption and the poisons found therein.

I Fast in support of Robert Cohen and my fellow hungerstrikers.

We all Fast in support of your health and the health of your children
and theirs.
